Steward Meta-Agents---Organizational-Science Design Principles for Agents that Manage Agents
Ramya Malur Srinivasan
Abstract
As meta-agents move from research to real-world, questions such as who evaluates and oversees them are gaining traction. In this position paper, we argue that answering it well necessitates organizational perspectives. We map four families of organizational theory (governance, delegation, safety, and collective intelligence) to concrete meta-agent design choices. For each mapping we name an oversight signal and state where the analogy breaks, thereby aiding in auditable guidance.
