Child Care Information — Sydney and Atlanta Only

• NeurIPS is proud to offer free child care for registered attendees on a first come, first served basis. Capacity is limited.
• A small non-refundable reservation fee applies per child. Fee details are shown on your location's reservation link above.
• Breakfast, lunch, afternoon snack, and dinner will be provided, along with water throughout the day.
• The parent or guardian must remain on-site at the venue at all times while their child is in care.
• A conference registration is required for each date you reserve child care. For example, a sessions/tutorial-only registration cannot be used to reserve care on days that require a workshop registration.
• No call / no show and late cancellation fees vary by location — see the details on your city's card above.

What is included?

• Experienced childcare professionals: 1 adult for 3 children between 8 months and 2 years old and 1 adult for 5 children older than 2 years old (legal staffing ratio)
• A large variety of indoor activities, including arts and crafts, active games, building kits and Lego, as well as books and toys.
• Port-a-cots for nap times for children under the age of 3 who require a sleep.

• Meals & snacks
• Nappy changing: parents are asked to bring their own nappies to ensure your preferences are catered for, change of clothes and linen

Cost and cancellation policy

The childcare service is provided free of charge.

If you cancel after November 9th or do not attend your reserved days/hours, you will be charged a cancellation fee of 60 € per half day.

Minor Attendance

• If you are a minor with an accepted paper and you will be the author who will be presenting the paper.
  • You will need to purchase a registration using your papers reserved author registration spot
  • Your guardian will receive a badge when you and your guardian check in together
  • Your guardian may NOT be a co-author, only your parent or legal guardian are permitted.
  • Your guardian must sign the family/minor waiver when you check in
• If you are a guardian with a registration
  • The minor does not need to register or create an account. They will receive a badge when they check in with you.
  • Minors only permitted if the conference is not sold out
• All minors ages 14–17 must have their guardian sign the family/minor waiver at check-in, whether the guardian or the minor holds the registration.
• Minors may only attend events where alcohol is not served.
• Minors must remain with the guardian at all times while in the venue.
• Nursing infants and children ages 14–17 may attend the conference for free with a guardian.
