NeurIPS 2024 Press Accreditation will close on 27 Nov 2024
The Neural Information Processing Systems “NeurIPS” conference requires individuals applying for accreditation to be professional journalists and represent media organizations. Applicants must show they are a professional press member with a proven track record. Press accreditation is not accorded to non-governmental organizations' information outlets or advocacy publications.
The names and information entered are for purposes of identification and verification only and will not be published or shared without permission. Accreditation will be available until 11:59 p.m. CST on 27 November 2024; please do not request late registration. Applications are considered on a case-by-case basis, and the decisions are final. Accreditation covers the duration of the conference. Double registration is not allowed. If you are already registered as an attendee or sponsor, your application for press accreditation will not be granted.
Freelance journalists are subject to the same requirements for accreditation and must complete the full process. Freelance journalists, including photographers/videographers, must provide clear evidence they are on assignment from a specific news organization or publication. A valid assignment letter from that news organization or publication is required. Photographic agencies must provide clear evidence from a client news organization or publication. All photography and videography should be discrete and not distract speakers by interfering with or blocking NeurIPS camera crews.
NeurIPS recognizes there are new forms of information dissemination. Accreditation will be considered based on set criteria for all types of media. We are aware that assignments can change on short notice. Please communicate changes to staff as soon as they are known. The applicant will have to complete the same process, but as long as they have the required valid materials, there is usually little delay in processing.
The information presented at NeurIPS may be considered proprietary and on background; therefore, it is recommended that the media seek approval to quote individuals before publication. NeurIPS cannot grant rights to interviews with individual attendees or presenters. Consent should be obtained directly from the interviewee. Interviews must be scheduled directly with the interviewee or the communications team of an interviewee, and participants should initiate discussion and reach an agreement beforehand on what details can be publicly shared.
Accreditation approval
Upon accreditation confirmation, we invite you to reserve a hotel room through the NeurIPS hotel block.
Event access
The accredited press will have full access to NeurIPS in person and will have limited access if attending virtually. Registered media will have access to a private media room and a semi-private interview room will be available to media and their guests.
Disclaimer
NeurIPS organizers reserve the right to deny or withdraw accreditation for activities that violate the principles of the event Code of Conduct or ethics of journalism. At any time, NeurIPS may revoke accreditation if it is put to improper use, if it has been used to abuse the privileges so extended, or if personal or public conduct is inconsistent with the organization's best interest.
