NeurIPS 2025 Mexico City – Call for Workshops

We invite proposals for in-person workshops to be held in Mexico City as part of the newly launched secondary location for NeurIPS 2025. This is an exciting opportunity to engage with the broader AI research community and to center local voices, regional relevance, and global collaboration in artificial intelligence.
Workshops at NeurIPS aim to provide a platform for dynamic discussions on emerging topics, community-building, and future directions in AI. The Mexico City satellite will host a limited number of high-quality workshops (up to 8) over one or two days in parallel sessions, mirroring the structure of the main conference.

Proposal Submission Guidelines
Proposals should be no more than 3 pages (excluding references and organizer bios), and include:
- Title, Goals, and Motivation
- Workshop Topics & Target Audience
- Structure & Format (talks, posters, panels, interactive sessions)
- Confirmed/Tentative Speakers or Panelists
- Diversity, Equity, and Inclusion Plan
- Plans for Engagement (Q&A, breakout sessions, networking, etc.)
- Organizers’ Backgrounds & Previous Experience
- If applicable, previous iterations and metrics (e.g., attendees, submissions)
Please also indicate any special logistical needs (translation, AV, accessibility, etc.).
Workshop Format & Requirements
- Workshops run 4–9 hours in a single day.
- Must be held in person at the Hilton Mexico City.
- All sessions will be recorded and/or live-streamed via SlidesLive.
- Each workshop will be allocated one room, with AV support provided.
- At most one hour of remote content (pre-recorded or virtual talk) is allowed.
- Submissions and speaker acceptances should follow a peer-review process.
Evaluation Criteria
Workshop proposals will be evaluated based on:
- Relevance and Clarity of Topic
- Potential for Community Impact or Cross-Disciplinary Engagement
- Interactive and Inclusive Structure
- Quality and Diversity of Organizers and Invited Contributors
- Fit with NeurIPS values and regional/global significance

Funding
NeurIPS does not provide travel funding for workshop organizers or speakers. In the past, some workshops have sought and received funding from external sources to bring in outside speakers. A number of complementary registration tickets will be provided to each accepted workshop.
