I am a Ph.D. student at the Research Center for Intelligent Machines, in the Probability Vision Group at McGill University. I hold a Bachelor of Science in Mathematics and a Master of Science in Computer Science and Data Engineering, minoring in Bioinformatics. I contribute to building advanced language technologies for low-resource languages, especially African Languages: I am an African NLP Researcher with Masakhane Research Foundation, co-building Lanfrica to increase the discoverability of African works, and I previously worked as a Researcher at Google Research in the language team. I also worked on Drug Discovery and Pharmaceuticals-related challenges at the Mila Quebec AI Institute, Roche Canada Pharmaceuticals, and at Modelis.
