The Montréal Declaration Responsible AI approach

The proposed activity aims to highlight the approach that has structured the work of the Montréal Declaration Responsible AI, which has mobilized the scientific community, civil society and the industry community. The form would be a presentation by the professors and doctoral students who worked on the coconstruction, followed by interactions with the public. This masterful presentation would expose the different stages of the process and the methods used:

  • The ethical issues of AI
  • The co-construction approach
  • Mobilisation of experts and citizens
  • The first co-construction results
  • Montreal in the international context
  • From the preliminary version of the Declaration to the official launch

The speakers :

  • Marc-Antoine Dilhac, Scientific Co-director of the Declaration, Full Professor, Department of Philosophy, UdeM, Chair of the Ethics and Politics Group, Centre de recherche en éthique (CRÉ), Canada Research Chair in Public Ethics and Political Theory
  • Christophe Abrassart, Scientific Co-director of the Declaration, professor in the School of design and Co-director of Lab Ville Prospective of the Faculty of Planning of the Université de Montréal, member of Centre de recherche en éthique (CRÉ)
  • Nathalie Voarino, Scientific Coordinator, PhD Candidate in Bioethics of Université de Montréal
