- Open System Preferences from the Apple menu
- Click on theNetwork icon
- Choose Airport or Ethernet from the list of network adapters in the Show: drop-down menu
- Click on theTCP/IP tab. In the TCP/IP panel, changeConfigure Manually toUsing DHCP
- Delete anyDomain Name Servers that are listed in the Domain Name Servers box
- ClickApply Now
OS 8-9
- Click on theTCP/IP Control Panel
- From theConfigure drop-down menu, selectUsing DHCP Server
- Make sure theDHCP client ID field is blank
- Delete any servers that may be in theName server addr: box
- Click on the Close box
- Click the Save button on the save dialog box that appears.
