The Conference and Tutorials will be held at the Hyatt Regency Vancouver. The hotel is located in downtown Vancouver, overlooking a mountain-rimmed harbor.
 
Workshops – Whistler, B.C.
 
The NIPS 2006 Post-Conference Workshops will be held at The Westin Resort & Spa and the Hilton Whistler Resort & Spa.  These hotels are located right next to each other at the base of Whistler Mountain. They are adjacent to both the Blackcomb and Whistler gondolas that take skiers, snowboarders, and hikers to the top of the mountain. 

Maximum room occupancy is four persons. One night's room and tax pre-payment is needed to guarantee room reservations. All deposits for individual room reservations are fully refundable if a room is cancelled seven days or more prior to the arrival date. An early departure fee of one night's room and tax will be assessed if hotel is given less than 24-hours notice. Personal checks, money orders or a valid American Express, Diners Club, Visa or Mastercard number and expiration date will be needed for the deposit.

Rates at the Hilton Whistler Resort & Spa are per night for single are $169.00CAD (~$149 US) or double occupancy at a rate of $189.00 CAD (~$168 US). There will be an additional charge of $30.00 CAD (~$27 US) for each additional person. There is no refund for early checkouts, late check-ins, or no-shows. A deposit equal to one nights stay will hold each reservation. Cancellations made 14 days or less prior to arrival are not refundable.

The Hilton Whistler Resort & Spa, is completely a non-smoking property.

The Westin Whistler is now filled. 

The Westin Resort & Spa is located at 4090 Whistler Way, right next to the Hilton Whistler Resort & Spa, at the base of Whistler Mountain. It is adjacent to both the Blackcomb and Whistler gondolas that take skiers, snowboarders, and hikers to the top of the mountain.

For larger groups, it is possible to arrange for adjoining rooms, with linking doors. Please make these arrangements when registering.

**If you plan to make a reservation with The Westin Resort & Spa and plan to share your suite with another NIPS participant, you will be required to register that name with the hotel at: The Westin Resort NIPS 2006 registration site, or alternatively at  1-888-634-5577.  If you want to book shoulder dates (3 days Pre-Conference and 3 days Post), you must call the hotel directly as those dates are based upon availability.

This will eliminate any unnecessary delays during the check-in process. For security reasons, any persons arriving at the hotel not accompanied by the registered occupant and/or who are not registered as guests, will not be permitted access to guest rooms.

If using the scheduled buses between the Hyatt Regency Vancouver and The Westin Resort & Spa please note that upon disembarking passengers at the front door of the hotel, the buses will be moving to an alternate entrance to unload the bags, therefore, you must take with you any carry-on luggage that you will need immediately upon arrival at the hotel.

Please note that following hotel rates are listed in Canadian dollars, the final conversion rate will be determined on the date of payment. Local taxes of 16% will be added to all quoted hotel rates.
